Polish Company
LZ Analogue Sp. z o.o. was formed on September 3rd 2026 to relocate the production of Michael Fidler products to Łódź, Central Poland. Previously constrained to 12m2 spare room in England, relocation was planned earlier in the year to allow for the expansion of floor space, production capacity, and research and development time for new products by delegating daily operations to the company's first employee outside of its founder.
Andrzejów workshop, October 2026
Łódź was chosen as the new base of operations to make the most of local industries required for scaling production of high-quality electronics within Poland, strong connections, available working space, and ease of trade with the rest of Europe. All current products using surface-mount components will be continued in our 75m2 facility in Andrzejów, by the end of 2026, with at least one new flagship product released by then. Further research and development is also planned for a range of new product types, including power amplification.
While we are mainly focussed on bringing our present range online and stabilising production during this early stage, we are also steadily experimenting with a new range of cosmetic finishes, enclosure styles, and radically different approaches to power supply technology. We look forward to announcing these developments once they are ready!
Design philosophy
All Michael Fidler products are designed to reproduce music as transparently as possible by minimising noise, distortion, and unwanted colouration caused by frequency-response deviations. They are not intended to have any particular sonic signature of their own. The company is entirely disinterested in making effects units that shred the signal with electronic defects that may or may not be subjectively pleasing to certain sections of the market. There are plenty of companies that have those sections fully saturated already! Rather, our products aim to be invisible to the signal passing through them, preserving detail, balance and dynamics, so the listener only hears what the original artists intended.
As transparency is determined by the lack of unwanted additions to the signal, we can measure each parameter of potential signal degradation objectively with signal analysers. This process is completely independent of subjective testing until the final stage, as it is far too unreliable for precise engineering, due to uncontrolled factors including other equipment in the signal path, room acoustics, and the scientifically well-documented expectancy biases of the listener themselves. Rather than aiming for unfalsifiable subjective impressions such as "warmth", "air", or "expressiveness", our products designed for the best measurable specification possible at their price and feature points, so they consistently deliver an excellent performance every time. Subjective testing is left until the last stage, to confirm ruggedness in real-world setups.
