Test Procedure - SPARTAN 15 Power up test 1. No more than 2 seconds to switch on 2. With 220Hz high pass filtering, the noise should be less than 88dBV with the inputs to the attenuator box disconnected 1kHz to 10kHz, RIAA, crosstalk, and THD tests Set dScope input to 34dBu range All THD measurements should be below 0.0007% 1. Apply 1kHz at 950mV RMS, split channels phase inverted on channel B 2. Check gain is between 20.7 and 20.9dB for both channels with 0.1dB channel balance 3. Depress the mono switch, check the gain less than -20dB on both channels 4. Enter the gain values into the RIAA spreadsheet to generate the necessary test points 5. Tie the generator and increase frequency to 10kHz and voltage to 4.5V RMS 6. Check gain against the spreadsheet 7. Split the generator and switch off each channel to test crosstalk 8. Check that the gain is less than 71dB for each channel 100Hz RIAA, LFC, and THD tests Set the generator to 100Hz at 210mV, split the channels and phase invert channel B 1. Check distortion is less than 7ppm and gain matches the spreadsheet values 2. Depress the mono switch and check that gain is less than -7dB 3. Depress the LFC switch and check that gain is less than 28.5dB 20Hz to 10Hz subsonic filter tests Set the FFT to THD + noise because dScope is rubbish, generator tied at 120mV 20Hz 1. Check that THD+N is less than 0.002%, channel balance within 0.3dB, gain 35-38dB 2. Decrease frequency to 10Hz, THD less than 0.02%, channel balance within 0.3dB, gain at least 16dB less than 20Hz Finish! MISC NOTES Magnetic immunity box test REV 0.1 140uV 50uV REV 1.0 140uV 50uV Side tests show Rev 1.0 has better magnetic immunity Puts 22kHz into a 1.5k parallel load up to 10.2 VRMS. Distortion stays below 6ppm from 100Hz to 22kHz. Gain less than 56.5dB at 20Hz for test. Voltage noise should be less than 89dBV to 220Hz.
